ABEL TASMAN NATIONAL PARK - Kaiteriteri or Marahau ( both 10 minutes drive away) are  the starting points for many of the water taxi and tour companies  taking visitors along the scenic coast of the Abel Tasman National Park.  Highlights are Split Apple Rock, the Tonga Bay Seal Colony and Awaroa Inlet. All best viewed from the water.  Many visitors enjoy the scenic boat trip along the coast then take one of the walking tracks along the coast, catching the next water taxi back.

This is also the starting point for many of the kayaking trips, and they can all be booked either through us, the Motueka Visitor Information Centre or with the operators in Kaiteriteri.  Visitors agree this trip and the walks are one of the highlights of their visit to New Zealand.  The more adventurous often stay overnight in our chalets to get an early start on one of the 3 or 4 day  treks through the National Park which comprise one of the GREAT WALKS OF NEW ZEALAND
